Wellow Vineyard and Restaurant

We arrived at this location knowing very little about the site and didn't even know the restaurant's name. We had heard however the site is near a number of traveler's camps and to be weary as the building was so dilapidated. I'm not to sure which fact had us more on edge! We were quite quick to explore, as the floor of the restaurant and neighboring caravan was so spongy I was concerned we would fall through at any time!

Later I managed to find a little bit more about the site, through finding clues around the explore and doing some more searching online.

Here is a newspaper report from 2001, mentioning owners Martyn Wood and Maureen Bromley-Smith providing some of their vintage wine to Paris for a exhibition dinner. It seems that not long after this the restaurant closed, fellow explorers and paperwork from site estimating 2001-2002 as the year it was abandoned. There were wine labels everywhere, corks, glasses, bottles. I am assuming they used to age them in the gigantic storage units that are on site. The whole place is massively overgrown and pretty dangerous.

Again this is another explore that we recorded our journey around the site. Please look forward to the YouTube video!
